Ellie Beckett’s life is simple and uncomplicated; she’s on track to become a leading expert in biomedical engineering, she has a pub where she feels comfortable enough to hang out multiple times a week, and, so what if she doesn’t have time for… people? She doesn’t need or want them. Until she meets Mia Sharpe. As it it turns out, maybe Ellie does want at least one person. This book is part of the I Heart SapphFic Pride Collection, which contains eight standalone books from some of the top authors in sapphic fiction today. Each one promises a Pride theme and a happy ending. The collection was organized by I Heart SapphFic, which is a website for authors and readers of sapphic fiction to stay up to date on all the latest sapphic fiction news.

Every so often you find a story that it wonderful, heart warming, and just something special, and that would be this one. Told entirely from Ellie's perspective, it's the story of when she meets Mia, and everything that follows. Of the friendship that develops, of the trails that they go through, and the realising of what they want. Of the other people in their life, and the impact that they have, and the self discovery that occurs along the way. It is just so beautifully told, drawing you in, making you feel for them, and hoping that everything will work out. For any sapphic romance fan, this is a must read.

Damn this was good! I take back my words that I hate miscommunication or bad communication as a tool to up the emotions in a romance. Cass shows that when done well it gives you a story that you can’t put down. Loved the nerdyness and all the pining!

I wish I would be able to give more than five stars to this book :) I couldn't put it down and read the first 60 percent in one sitting and finished the rest the next day. I loved everything about this book.
